**Introduction:**
The Planning Manager will have the responsibility for the oversight of the day to day operation of the London Gatwick Part 145 Planning Team. In doing so they will be the primary point of contact and primary escalation for any Planning issues during execution and preparation for customer maintenance inputs.
The Planning Manager will represent the London Gatwick team at all required customer meetings, as well as working closely with the LGW Technical support Team / Operations Support Team / Production Teams and the LGW Leadership Team to ensure deliverable plans are established and are driven to execution.
The Planning Manager will work closely with the Maintenance Manager - Technical Support contributing to the success of our London Gatwick Operation. During periods of training and leave, The Planning Manager will be expected to deputise for the Maintenance Manager - Technical Support. The Planning manager will play a key role it future LGW strategy and growth.
The Planning Manager will also work closely with Boeing Programs and Sales team in ensuring that full utilisation of the Hangar Bay and resource capacity is efficiently utilsied and work with key stakeholders in securing new MRO business supporting future growth.
The role of the Planning Manager is to be the focal point for the on-shift planning team and to be the primary escalation point for any Planning issues across the LGW operation. Ensuring that all planning elements are performed in line with regulatory and company policies and procedures.
Represent the LGW Planning department at internal and external meetings as well as working closely with Boeing internal stakeholders.
With the continued growth of the LGW MRO, this role will play a key part in the development and implementation of new processes and procedures as well as working on projects in support of our continued improvement and growth.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Lead the LGW Planning team in building robust production plans for maintenance inputs, building work packages in AMOS.
+ Oversee the production of the strategic and midterm forecasts and hangar capacity plans in conjunction with the execution of production plans, considering current capacity, resources, environment and contractual agreements.
+ To assist Boeing Tech Services and Production Teams in the monitoring of all work packages on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance is met, minimising the risk of CAMO de-assignment and highlight any ETOPS / Critical Maintenance Tasks.
+ Oversee the delivery of Production Plans, Man Power Plans and Hangar Bay Capacity Plans and ensure compliance to both regulatory and Boeing procedures. Maintain compliance at all times through ongoing review and management of the maintenance inputs utilising Boeing Part 145 MMS.
+ To provide, coordinate and control first time Maintenance Planning support to the business, including the coordination of all Maintenance Planning requirements caused by an AOG event or significant operational disruption.
+ Perform reviews of work packages to ensure all consumables expendables and tooling have been fully identified and can be made readily available for any planned maintenance input.
+ Represent Production Planning during internal and external audits.
+ Take ownership of department objectives and goals.
+ Work closely with the Technical Services Manager in creating cross team dynamics and ensure all processes and procedures are monitored and kept up to date.
+ Monitor compliance through sampling.
+ Participate or host in the absence of a Planning Engineer any required pre-input meetings.
+ Continuously monitor processes to ensure maximum efficiency can be achieved.
+ Work with LGW management to enhance Boeings current scope of work.
+ Ensure prior to start of input there has been no revision changes to the approved data.
**Work Authorisation:**
This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants.
Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
**Relocation:** This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
**Qualifications:**
+ Be able to work unsupervised but also be a team player who will grasp opportunities to exceed the expectations of internal and external customers.
+ Have a minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a similar role.
+ Be exemplary in the coordination and execution of part 145 planning activities.
+ Previous experience of using the AMOS system.
+ Have previous experience of accessing on-line Boeing documents through myboeingfleet.com. Previous experience on widebody and/or ETOPS aircraft is an advantage.
+ Aircraft Engineering Degree preferable.
+ Have at least 5 years experience of working in a maintenance planning environment.
+ Must have excellent organisation skills and the ability to work under pressure.
+ Candidates must have the right to live and work in United Kingdom and Ireland
