We now have over 250 people in the UK working on Turnaround, Restructuring & Insolvency matters.

Given our global scale, we are able to seamlessly deliver cross-border Restructuring & Insolvency mandates, alongside our full-service UK Regional Restructuring offering. Our UK Restructuring practice has established offices in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds, and has recently opened in Glasgow and Edinburgh. We are winning and delivering work for clients at a rapid pace and, as a result, we are recruiting talented individuals to join this expanding team at Director level in London.
The opportunity
- We are looking for individuals with a minimum of 8 years restructuring experience working on restructuring advisory (lender or company-side) or insolvency (formal insolvency or contingency planning) assignments.
- Reporting directly to the Managing Directors, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of a wide ranging portfolio of cases from appointment to closure.
- As part of a highly skilled team, you will have the opportunity to work on high profile engagements across restructuring advisory and insolvency, working with many of the industry's leading Managing Directors.
Assignments can include multi-stakeholder and often multi-national restructuring advisory engagements and/or UK and cross border insolvency appointments. Projects can also include IBRs, short term cash flow and capital structure analysis.
Successful candidates will gain an exceptional range of experience, working on assignments across the restructuring spectrum. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to be involved in business development activities including, identifying potential clients which may need support, the creation of client pitches and proposals to win new mandates. The person
- The ideal candidate will be JIEB or CPI qualified as well as a qualified ACA or ACCA.
- Experience within the Restructuring team of a Big 4 or other large national practice or regional professional services firm.
- You should have a strong background in project managing a mixed case portfolio and supervising staff. You must have up to date and detailed knowledge of insolvency legislation, relevant case law, SIPs and guidance from regulators and other government bodies.
- Demonstrate the desire to build on existing skill sets and develop additional knowledge of all restructuring offerings with evident project experience in some / all of the following: company-side advisory projects, accelerated sale processes, IBRs, short term cash flow and capital structure analysis, formal insolvency or contingency planning.
