Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Natural Gas Liquids ( NGL) Value Chain Optimization (VCO) Planner located in London, Greater London UK through January 27, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
Organization Overview:
We are currently seeking a Linear Programs (LP) Cargo Optimization Planner to join the NGL Value Chain Optimization (VCO) team.
Embedded within our Global Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) trading team the NGL VCO Cargo Optimization Planner will be responsible for running, interpreting, and communicating the output of a Linear Programs cargo optimization model to inform our cargo trading activity.
We are looking for an individual who is highly-motivated, a team player, enjoys the challenge of finding commercial value through tools and data; an effective communicator with an eye for continuous process and personal improvement.
Chevron Supply and Trading (S&T) provides a critical link between the market and Chevrons upstream, downstream and chemicals companies. We provide commercial support to our crude oil, products and natural gas production operations and to our refining and marketing network. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Management of a Linear Program (LP) NGL optimizer tool
+ Maintain, Run, interpret and validate the output of the NGL optimizer
+ Collaborate with teams in Houston, Singapore and London, and communicate clearly and concisely the output to key stakeholders
+ Work alongside Trading, Shipping teams and cargo Operations to optimize daily & monthly cargo placement plans to maximize enterprise value
+ Develop contingency plans to ensure an uninterrupted supply chain
- Work closely with the Data Scientists and other stakeholders to improve the accuracy and functionality of the NGL optimizer
- Coordination of the sales plan for NGL cargoes
+ Gather monthly price forecast from Trading
+ Collaborate with Value Chain Optimization, Trading, Shipping and Operations teams to develop the fundamental view of the supply/demand balance for NGL
+ Track performance and monitor the execution of the sales plan
- Support Finance with gross margin financial analysis
Required Qualifications:
+ Awareness of full value chain economics and value drivers of the both the physical and financial hydrocarbons market including Shipping
+ Highly proficient in MS Office 365 applications including advanced Excel skills and proven ability with complex analytical and visualization tools (PowerBI preferred).
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and an ability to analyze and evaluate large data sets and complex business information.
+ Energized team player able to perform in a fast-paced and pressurized environment, with a focus on achieving sustainable business results.
Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
+ Experience with Linear Programs (LP) modeling/planning, or similar complex optimization modeling
+ Knowledge of global commodity market fundamentals and NGL/Crude/Gas/Products trading.
+ Fundamental modelling (forecasting) experience (build and maintain complex supply & demand models; use of statistical tools and regression modelling to improve forecasting and results).
+ Excellent interpersonal skills able to clearly and concisely present your views and opinions.
