Position description
This position is located in London. Qualified candidates must be eligible to work in the U.K. and have a current registered general nurse license with an active NMC pin, minimum 2 years post registration experience.
The General Practice Nurse supports professional nursing practice in this outpatient setting to meet the needs of our patients and their families. Mayo Clinic nurses function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model which includes accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating and communicating all phases of nursing care for our patients. The General Practice Nurse provides informal leadership through activities such as working in the preceptor role and participating in quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications
The General Practice Nurse (Bank) will meet the following requirements:
- Registered General Nurse with valid NMC pin, minimum of 2 years post-registration experience or working at a Band 6 NHS level.
- Prefer candidate with primary care or outpatient clinic experience.
Additional qualifications
- The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prioritise and co-ordinate own workload.
- They will be friendly and adaptableable to work as part of a team and have an awareness of clinical audit and clinical governance and have IT competency.

Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
